Guess why I posted this in the Windows Server forum? Windows 8 is not on DreamSpark, and it will never be. It's on DreamSpark Premium, but that's not what you get here. Yes.
does anybody know how long the dreamspark codes are valid, i don't mean the serials you get from dreamspark the code to activate the account can i use it in a year?
I honestly cannot answer that because I don't know but I'm pretty sure the code has some sort of shelf life so the sooner the better to activate it
Just curious, how long are the licenses from DreamSpark valid? I mean, is it like a) have an account and keep downloading free software all your life? b) Or for a specific duration (like say, have an account for one year, download as many software as you can and keep using them all your life), or c) have an account for one year, download as many software as you can and keep using them for that one year only???
Open this site in google chrome and translate to english. its very easy , i got my key from this process only.
what is the main difference between windows 8 and windows server 2012? are there any features which are present in one but not in the other? can we use server 2012 in place of windows 8? i am asking this because now i can download server 2012 from dreamspark account so i am planning to install it instead of windows 8.
The main difference is the server software like Active Directory, Server Manager (Where you install Server rolls), and too many more to explain..
thnx guys for your replies. so does that mean if i use windows server 2012, i will not miss any windows 8 feature? or are there any drawback in using server edition?
This site lists out all the things you have to do to get back all the windows 8 features in server 2012. w w w. win2012workstation. c o m Think that you would miss quite a number of features in a vanilla 2012 server install
