hi, I haven't seen any post here, so I wanted to share that there is a free Bare-metal hypervisor alternative. It is based on Xenserver from Citrix but with all features enabled. We use moved from Citrix to Xenserver and it is great! There is also paid pro support (we don't use it) and a tool called Xen Orchestra (also with full free version and paid) which allows remote admin and backups.
