Anyone else having problems with "Fast Start up" causing their system to freeze? For those that don't know "Fast Startup" is the default method of shutting down Windows 8. Unlike a traditional shutdown, when you do a shutdown (if you can find the shutdown menu ) Windows will close all your applications, and basically hibernate your drivers and the kernel to disk, so that the next time you start up it is really like a resume from hibernation, resulting in a significantly faster bootup. Anyways, if you're having problems with freezing after startup, try disabling Fast startup: More Power Options-choose what the power buttons do- untick "Turn on fast startup"
