no I mean all the time when I start the pc backup from shutdown it freezes right after it starts loading if I do restart works perfect
Check HDD / Ram to see if all is OK on a hardware level. Could be the HDD on way out. Did you tamper with Windows in any way like make a frankenbuild?
everything worked perfect on windows 8 im running 8.1 on my ssd drive with all basic drivers from ms it downloaded the drivers from windows update and only change I did on the iso was add ei.cfg
I had a LOT of freezing on Win 8.1 and went back to Win 7... It happened during boot, on desktop, before the lock screen when the pc is starting (99% of the freezes happen there)... Just a LOT of freezing... I remember that Windows 8 used to freeze a LOT on the release and it got better (still freezes, but not all the time). I won't stay on a OS that freezes with no reason, like 8/8.1... Windows 7 is just perfect on my machine, Ubuntu Linux works perfect too... The problem is with Win 8 and 8.1.
Open CMD as admin and try Chkdsk /SpotFix Make sure the latest firmware for your devices are installed Bios,HDD and check Error reporting in windows to see if anything is being noted. Most likely a Driver issue (could be down to firmware/s**tty driver) Forgot to add try sfc /scannow Also
In Windows 8/8.1 in default Windows doesn´t perform a proper shutdown, it´s this hybrid thingy instead. Did you try to disable that behaviour? Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System] "HiberbootEnabled"=dword:000000 Save as REG file and import.
yeah seems to be an issue with hybrid shutdown on my pc ill try to disable it and see what it happens ps disabled hybrid and it works perfect now my desktop must not like hybrid on 8.1 right now it works perfect on my laptop
Saw no use for that feature back with my HDD, now with a SSD it´s definitely superseded . In dual boot environments with older Windows versions it´s the literally PITA! My Windows 7 install always tried to perform a Checkdisk run with all my drives ... 4 TB, as it was confused by that totally .
Funny you mention that. For a while, I had Windows 8 and Windows 7 installed and dual booting. When booting win 7, after shutting down win 8, win 7 thought the disk needed repair, because of an improper shutdown. After the 'repair', win 8 was totally hosed. Of course, I'm not sure this is related to OP's problem.
