mdc, thanks for the post Now if I pay for that $14.99 key, can I use it on a fresh install of windows 8 pro, or is that only for upgrade from windows 7? Also once obtaining that key, can I use it on another computer or is it only for one computer? Many people updated from a non-activated version of Windows 7 using the $15 license. Others, like me, paid $40, which is cheapest than a game. As for now, Microsoft didn't said anything, but I bet no problems with that.
