Hi all! I've been a long time lurker at the site. Finally decided to register yesterday!

Anyway, I can't seem to find an answer to these couple of questions (sorry if they've already been answered):

    1. If I use the free upgrade to 10, my 8.1 key is "consumed" and the activation is now linked to my hardware ID. If I then upgrade my computer (MB, CPU, etc) next year, how do I become activated again? Is that a "catch" with the free upgrade? You're then locked into the same hardware? At the moment, I can just install my 8.1 on the new hardware and perform another activation, ringing them if need be. From what I understand, this won't be possible with 10 because there's no longer a key to activate?

    2. In that same vein, do I actually lose the physical ability to activate the 8.1 key after the upgrade? Say I don't like 10 (outside of the 1 month "revert" option) and want to re-install with 8.1 again. Does the upgrade literally "consume" the key or is it just license jargon?
