    I play World of Tanks, it's a very fun game but only if you really get into it... I mean it's probably also fun just to try but getting to know how to mod it and building skill and strategy ties me so close to it, and the fact that it is free to play would appeal to many as well.

    last I played was the witcher 3. Great game, a little bit monotonous (movement, monsters,etc)

    Maybe Mario or SimCity 2000 and it's because my daughter is into it also:)
