    Thanks!

adn could you also change the model number to Gateway DX4831-01e?

that's the actual model, my bios somehow thinks its an acer something, after i AMIBOOT.ROM fixed it awhile back

and wtf is up with the Acer boot logo? it used to be Gateway boot logo, until i AMIBOOT.ROM fixed it, with a dump of my original bios

All Hidden Features / Menu Items Unlocked and set to User Access.

This BIOS already has ACER SLIC 2.1 in Module f0.
Be VERY careful if you change ANY of the unlocked Features.
I am NOT responsible for any problems they may cause.

    PS
ACER bought Gateway and that's would be why it has an ACER SLIC and Logo.

    Can you repost this?

I too have this dx4831-01e with the same mobo and bios p01.b01 but still locked - they have not released any updates for years now. I have the i3-530 and 8gb ram installed. I would hope to squeeze a little more life out of this PC - its actually been pretty good. I have another mobo gigabyte ga-ma770-ds3 with a phenon 940 in it that is a little faster but it too has old bios and not many OC features... any help is appreciated!

shows i3-530 able to OC with standard air cool to 4.34Ghz - that or near that would be possible without buying another board... no sense in buying an old board for this processor but if I can toy with it and squeeze another year of life or give to kids to play games on that would be cool.
