Hi, Its been a year now, I tried to perform a BIOS update on my laptop(I'm stupid) The screen suddenly froze and rebooted, since then, There is no display, nothing. What all I've tried? I've tried making a crisis disk using the BIOS file from the gateway website. I've tried everything listed here - forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/870-Bios-Recovery-Procedures What else can I do? I'm ready to paypal $50 if someone succeeds in bringing it back to life. Edit - My laptop used to boot as soon as I used to plug power cable automatically, but after blinding flashing, Now I have to press the power button to turn it on. I read somewhere - If the CMOS is corrupt, the laptop may turn on by itself.
