    Solution :

-Use "Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0" to read out your BIOS.
-It can now be read with the "Phoenix BIOS Editor Pro v2.2.1.3".
-You will find Option ROM, Nvidia ROM, Raid Rom etc. in it.
-You can also do changes to it.
-NiBiTor can be used on the nvidia rom as well.

    Problem:
You cant flash it back, without adding "platform data" to your BIOS ROM.

    Look here :
    http://forums.mydigitallife.net/thr...OS-update-Missing-Platform-Data(Phoenix-bios)

Using a "similar" BIOS or a platform-data-added BIOS I could also extract the BIOS using winphlash, but even if it is the same size (and looks the same in hexedit) I get the Error ""Invalid ROM length".

Below is my original "question" which got more or less answered by now.

    Hi there,

Im the owner of a SONY Vaio VGN-AR61E since 2009.

    -Core2Duo T5450 @1.67ghz
    -4gb RAM
    -GeForce 8400M GT

All running fine using Windows 8.1 Pro x64 and the newest (inf modded) beta driver 337.50.

Id like to edit/modify the VGA BIOS of it.

Every version of nvflash failed (DOS & Windows).

(it only lists the adapter but fails reading it)
    "Adapter GeForce 8400M GT (10DE,0426,104D,9016) H:NRM B:01,PCI,D:00,F:00"

    Reading adapter firmware image...
    Image Size : 0 bytes
    Version : Unavailable (Inavlid)
    ~CRC32 : 00000000
    Subsystem Vendor ID : 671E
    Subsystem ID : DCCD
    Hierarchy ID : None
    Saving of image completed.

But alas, the 1.rom file is 0 in size.

The windows version came up with the following :

    nvflash --save 1.rom
    "Adapter GeForce 8400M GT (10DE,0426,104D,9016) H:NRM B:01,PCI,D:00,F:00"

    Identifying EEPROM...
    EEPROM ID (20,0000) : Unknown

    ERROR: Supported EEPROM not found

    Every version of GPUZ failed.

[BIOS reading is not supported on this device
    ]

    NiBiTor failed.
Tools->Read Bios->Select Device ends up in
    "Cant Start Driver : 1275"

Is there any other solution then trying NiBiTor on a x32 OS or linux ?
