Hi i have a HP mini note that came w/ windows 7 starter on it but i can't upgrade to any other version.
    I get the following error:
    ---------------------------
    Windows Script Host
    ---------------------------
On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run 'slui.exe 0x2a 0xC004F015' to display the error text.

    Error: 0xC004F015

    ---------------------------
    OK
    ---------------------------

I have removed the old certificate, the old key.
Put in a new key/cert for the HP ultimate but the key gives the above error.
i tried using Dazs loader but the only option it gives me is for the "starter" edition.
if i use the loader using "starter" edition everything works just fine, but i can't select any other version.

    whats going on here?
    thanks

You need to use Windows Anytime Upgrade to move to Ultimate.

Open Start Menu -> All Programs -> Windows Anytime Upgrade.
Enter a Ultimate OEM key and click next
Wait for around 15 minutes and after a reboot you'll have Ultimate.

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

yea, i think he was using an ultimate key on an non-ultimate copy of win7.
just install ultimate 7 and he'll be okay.

ok i'll try that. why wouldn't the loader allow for any other options than just "starter"
will entering the oem key contact MS? or will it just do the standard SLP/cert/key check?
    thx

Because you were running the starter edition of windows? lol

If you want to upgrade, run "Windows Anytime Upgrade" and enter in an OEM:SLP key for the edition of Windows you want. It won't contact MS afaik, even if it does then it doesn't matter. Worked everytime i've done it.
