    Everytime I try it and get to the part where it asks for a username and password from the first page, it doesn't take them and gives the login prompt again. I have tried every username/password that is not red over several days. I'm either just not lucky or doing something wrong.

    Could be your ISP or something with the way your IP is identified. I have plenty of keys so I can spare one for you to use.

    Can no one help really ? I have tried with 12 different Chinese proxies, it doesn't go farther than the verification page. I choose the country and the school, but it doesn't proceed. If I disable the proxy, it doesn't go anywhere from that page either. If someone is successful enough to get several keys, be a friend to share one. Perhaps someone can activate with a SLIC and wants to tell me how, you're welcome. Unfortunately I myself lack knowledge in this area, and hoped to get help.

    Intel have you tried another browser, and have you javascript and cookies enabled. If your using firefox maybe a plugin is stopping it.

    I've tried firefox and opera, I used proxies and had cookies enabled (each time before a new attempt I cleared the cookies). I tried killing Java (jusched.exe), but I don't know the flash's process name. From what I read in this thread, this method doesn't work always and not for all. Those of you successful, if you can't pm me a key, culd you give me the proxy that worked for you ?

    Intel if you have a modem on your laptop or your computer, loginto dial up and try that way. May be your internet connection.

    With broadband accounts we all have dial up payg backups, in case our broadband goes down.

    This still works. I got a key with IE8 using proxy 218.56.64.210:8080 and star14 user. thanks!

    219.234.81.106 port 80 work with Firefox, also get a key of VS2008 :D

    Guys, thank you very much for your replies. I tried with the last 2 proxies in ie, but unfortunately it didn't work. It comes to the verification page, I choose the country and the school, BUT the button to continue under the schools list in step 3 stays greyed out and doesn't work. If anyone can pm me the key, well maybe, it would be great.

    I just tried it, and it's working for me - the only exception being that I didn't need to use a Chinese proxy, since I'm actually in China...

    If you want to create a throwaway MSN account and PM me the details, I can carry out the verification process for you.

    A quick FYI for all:

    I set one of the Chinese proxies and it got me to the first half of step 5. It would never bring up the login box to enter the username and password that are listed at the start of this thread.

    I got around that problem by disabling the proxy server. After doing that, I got verified and got my key!
