Get Free Server 2008 Key [This method is turned DEAD, CLOSED]

    anyone wanna get me key for Server 2008 R2, tried for 3hrs and still can't get a key.

    Yes it's a student key, it will work till you install something that would cause your system to want to reactivate, then you have to phone in and they will activate it for you.

    You don't need an activator if you are using a legit key, what a waste of an key

    It happens, MDL isn't a private board so someone can follow the directions without signing in, and this post has become pretty famous, I see it on several other boards on other sites all pointing to something I found a long time ago.

    So we tend to bog down the CERNnet servers quite often.

    thanks worked perfectly 1st try without using a proxy, got myself 3 keys total :)

    EDIT: Can also download off the site as well

    It wont open here , it does with ultra surf
    But none of the logins get accepted

    I understand the directions on how to obtain a key, but how does the username/password work? If I did this right, I tried every one of them on the first page and none of them worked. I used it like this:

    Username - star06 (at) live haust edu cn (I was not able to type email address)

    Password - f7671e82-a6a2-43c2-b319-f02d0529a05b

    Is this the correct method?

    I have tried the copy/paste method as well as with/without Proxy method.

    Not sure what you mean by "the first page", but on the very first page you should enter your own Live ID login and password, and only after you click on "China-CERNET", there wil be a form to enter chinese student's account data.

    OK, I now have a key for "Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition x64 Disk 1".

    But where is best to get Windows Server 2008 R2 (the actual OS) from? the same page I got the key from?

    Is that the 'Enterprise' edition? Is 'Enterprise' better?

    Sorry, I meant the student data.... I logged in with my own passport credentials on the homepage, then after selecting the correct school as you mentioned, I get the SSL certificate error, continue past that and then I am prompted with the username/password, this is the part I cannot get past.

    I have copied/pasted, etc.

    tried it for 2 Days now.:confused:
    None of the Username/Passwords work for me.
    Could somebody please Pm me a Key? Hope it will work with the German Server Version of R2.
