I alway loved Winrar. Been using v.3.90 for the past 10-12 years. It would be good to receive a newer ver. for my use. I never use zip files. Count me in please.
Why do I need WinRAR? Because while 7zip is usually my tool of choice, I have run into the rare instance when I was not allowed to upload a 7zip file and the ability to make rar or rar4 files could be useful.
I find myself using WinRAR many times in a day. Most of the time I'm using it to extract compressed archives. At least once a day I'm using it to compress a few folders, split in 4.7GB segments, add a recovery record (usually of about 5%) to archive/backup them on DVDs. A WinRAR license would be very much welcome.
Thank you for the giveaway! WinRAR is my favorite archiver. I need it so I can handle most popular archives like rar and zip and also to create archives of course. It's fast and light-weight with clear and user-friendly interface. I also like its features to repair broken archives and to create self-extracting archives.
WinRAR is very powerful, and has been around for a long time, yet remains simple and easy to use. I particularly like the features to split an archive into many parts. I don't often need that, but when I do it's indispensable.
I need WinRAR because I 7-Zip doesn't have all what WinRAR offers and that would be very useful to me.
Thanks a lot for the giveaway, sid_16. I would like to win a WinRar key for using it with all the archive files from my PC. I like the compression ratio of this archiver and also the size and the fingerprint that are very light. Best of luck to all the participants.
Because its the first piece of software I install on a fresh system. Peazip, 7-zip, etc - it beats them all by FAR. I NEVER used any cracked version, and been using it for almost 15 years. I paid my dues, I almost DREAM about that nagscreen! Wich, by the way, indicates you should remove it from your system after 40 days if you're not willing to buy a licence. Since no one entering this contest actually has one, it must be full of people who mark their calendar to do so! Getting that licence would make one happy MDL-novice here!
I need WinRAR because it handles split volumes very well. I have never had any problems with extracting split volumes with WinRAR. I can't say the same about 7-Zip. Also, I would like to upgrade my current version of WinRAR. It's a bit old.
I'm in, winrar has always been too expensive for me and I'm sick of clicking cancel on the nag windows
