I grew up in Tuscany, Italy. I remember summers were pleasant and lovely. Humid hot weather was a rarity, lasting up to 2 days. In 2013 I moved to England and got used to the weather, even though I sometimes miss thunderstorms (very rare here compared to Italy). In July 2023 I went back to Italy to see my family. I noticed every single flat had air conditioner installed. Never saw so many white boxes outside houses before. And I'm not even that old (b. 1988). The weather... God, the weather was horrible: hot, humid... I spent 3 weeks lying in bed with a fan, since my parents' house is too old for installing air conditioning (something to do with cables, because my mother had already enquired). I asked my aunt when did summer become so hellish and she said 7 years prior. 2023 - 7 = 2016. I was already living in England then. So yes, global warming is real. And I'll never visit my family in summer again.
