I wonder who was worried about global warming a few thousands of years ago or the ice age that came after and did we learn any thing from them ? and who caused them to happen then ? cycle I think is the culprit cold hot cold hot its some thing the earth does with out help with out man ! yes the ice caps melt with warming and rebuild with cooling it will continue to do so until the sun dies out ! will any thing we do stop the cooling and warming cycle of the earth no ! we can improve the air we breath china and India could use a little guidance in that direction cars could use better cleaner engines , we could like ants build under ground storage for food and living quarters or build living habitats on other planets but we will never change the cycle of the planet, and man doesn't effect the cycle, science isn't proving it all the professionals' seem to be in disagreement about what is causing any thing if at all ! does any body believe the weather man when he says its going to rain all next week ? no because you have been around long enough to know he isn't right all the time and that's just a week away , scientist's are trying to tell you what's going to happen how far out in time !
Even if Global Warming is real, who would believe the idiots in our respective governments? Everything they do is about making money and getting someone else to pay for their folly. If it was so important to them, then why did the US government do everything in its' power to stand in the way of high efficiency diesel engines that get up to 80 mpg becoming the defacto standard in America? Because they want the taxpayer to pick up the tab. And we're sick of it. We're having a hard enough time feeding our families and keeping a roof over our heads.

The U.S. has gone far and above to help with Global Warming, Take a good look at the real offenders like China and see what they'll do to reduce co emissions. I do not think that China gives a good rats ass about global warming, but you have a freedom to speak out against U.S. contributions. On another note: man can not control the earth as much as you think he can, and many other factors are in play that causes temp changes
It's not about "control" but influence, with all the technology at our disposal and the desire over the basic needs, especially in the US and the rest of the West (which includes Japan and now ever more of the East)... Chine and co. are telling the US to take a hike since they only started, while the US & the gang were at it for a very long time and still are consuming a quarter of the World's energy consumption. They have a good point - but we still need them to reduce their pollution and not contribute as much as they do. But that would mean transfer of clean technologies to the East etc. And without the "World Government" representing Earth as a whole - do you see it happening? I don't. Just look at the US and scream!!!

Global warming is a good for sellers, it is the best way to to collect money selling absolutely anything. Yes, people can it change a bit if putting all nuclear bombs detonate at once. Then starts global cool down, but not the warming. Warming lasts only for short time and kills all life. There is also another group of researchers or group of scientists, who have shown that around in the years 2047-2050 is expected to commencing period on the globe, when climate begins to cool down. Yes... there are natural cycles of relative cooling and warming And YES indeed... humans now have the technology and numbers to effect those cycles. Kind of interesting that we recognize we have the weapons technology capable of wiping out most life on this planet... but so many refuse to consider the possibility that we likewise have the capacity to alter global weather patterns.
