    I would like to know how to apply local policies to all users except administrators on Windows 7 x64 with gpedit.msc

    I'm in a non-domain environment

    Example, when disabling regedit, it also disable in admin...

    I did a lot of research on google, M$ and found nothing that work.

    Adjust permissions on the local group policy folder %SystemRoot%\System32\GroupPolicy, so that you deny Read permission for the Administrators group.

    PS1: The folder mentioned above is a hidden folder.

    PS2: You'll not be able to run gpedit.msc after changing permissions this way, so if you want to edit policies again, then go to the same folder and uncheck the deny Read permission or simply allow Full Control for Administrators.

    @W0lfdale

    hahaha that work fine !

    I lost around 6 hours on that and the answer was only a deny read permission.

    Thanks for the hit !
