For the time being post #1 should still work with Windows 2016. If you want to start fresh though, that would guarantee it.

I'm having an issue with playing any games downloaded from the Windows Store.

I have downloaded Sea of Thieves, ReCore and Lucky's Tale and they all close immediately on the splash screen.

Any solution for this?

 

Has nothing to do with the store BTW wich build are you on ? 2015 or 2016 ?

 

2016 - perhaps another app i missing since no games can launch? Every other game on Steam works just fine so it's not a general issue with the machine; only Store apps won't launch.

 

Do you have installed Xbox indentifier ? you can find it in the store btw

It is installed though as you can see from the screenshot, but when running it it will only display the loading splash screen. It never opens into an actual app.

 

All up to date ? you can check in the store at Downloads and Updates

If so you can always try Xbox beta

 

Yep, everything is updated.

Edit: Xbox beta just does the same as the regular one; crashes immediately.

 

Strange and the specs of the games require windows 10 build .... ?

 

They require 14393.222 and I have 14393.2125

@Amplificator I am going to update post #1 because I feel people are under the illusion that they can remove some of the apps in post #1 while still playing games from the store. If you want to use games from the store and not just apps, then you really do need everything bundled in post #1.

The good news is it shouldn't hurt anything to re-run the installer. Just be sure to include everything. After running the installer, reboot (don't try opening anything yet and be sure everything is closed while you run the installer).

Extended support by updating the archive post too for 2015 / 2016 since that needed to be clarified there as well.

 

I did run the automated script - that's all I did. I didn't remove any components or anything at all.

It appears to be an issue with Xbox as I can't login to Xbox Live. Most games crashes, but the Solitaire Collection displays an error about Xbox Live can't sign in.
