Visual Studio 2017 also does not officially support LTSB but this should not prevent the program from working since LTSB is essentially the same build as Pro 14393 and other editions.
Yeah, sorry I don't have access to the ISO for Office 2019, otherwise I would have had a look at it. I figured that when Microsoft said Office 2019 wouldn't work on LTSB builds, I figured that perhaps they might have shifted over to UWP apps and that was why I came to this thread to see if said apps work, but it seems they are still using Win32. Oh well, it works, that's all that matters.
You Sir are a genius!!! THX so much, finally I can play FH3 after playing around with the f**kin XBOX app for hours. THX you so much!!!!!!!!
Updated post #1 to include newest store app. NOTE: If you already have the store working, you do not need to do anything as the store will automatically update on its own. This update is only so that new people installing store for the 1st time will have the latest update included from the start.
are there any more, any newer, versions of net framework and vcredist, then those which are in the OP's store download link? or are those already all you can get?
The ones included were made (provided) by Microsoft for the store app. If they ever do an update, they'll likely update through the store itself. However, the store apps originally came from Windows Enterprise (or Education), if memory serves me correctly. If anyone has a clean install with no other apps installed (or previously installed, as sometimes Microsoft leaves junk behind), then runs a full update and updates the system apps too via the store (again without installing anything, anywhere) ... I'd be interested to know if indeed there has been an update or not. At the moment, I'm using Linux as my OS, and the only Windows PC I have is testing how things are changing on R5. As things currently work, 'as is', I'm not in a hurry to check myself, but if you're curious, I'd suggest the above.
MS is running a disinformation campaign to keep people away from LTSB. But they made it specifically for Enterprise and who buys Office? MS may hate LTSB but it exists and its not going away.
@GOD666 Used the first method to integrate only the Store. The Store is installed, working, but the applications can not be downloaded as the Store itself can not be updated. Constantly hanging the download process. Windows 10 LTSB 2016 14393.0 x64 en-us what could be the problem?
i don't use a microsoft account either. still enabling the service fixed it. when the service was disabled i couldn't update or download anything from the store. i got a local account on my pc and im not logged in into a microsoft account in the store.
Whatever modifications you have made, unmake them or reinstall your OS. -- 100% so far of anyone who has come into this now 26-page thread who claimed it wasn't working, just for them, had made some kind of change that was out of the scope of the support here. It could be that you used an app such as O&O Shutup to improve your privacy or maybe you disabled a service or setting somewhere... Whatever it is, I can assure you the app works (just did a fresh install this morning, myself).
