Are there still no options to get store installed on LTSB 2015? 2015 is the last version that works for other software I want to use.
Hi @abbodi1406. I would like to ask is there a way to install apps that only support higher versions of Windows in the Store of Windows 2016? I tried 'fake' [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion] But still getting 'rollback' [Xin chào @abbodi1406.
@abbodi1406 Do you think you can make a dynamic script that is similar to the LTSC build? From what I can see dynamic script is to install the latest versions of the store, why not make it so it also installs the latest versions of the other apps too.
Thanks for the "Script to add MS Store" in Win11 Enterprise ---- installed and working. me -am playing around with older PS/ WKSTN's that has older win7/8/10 <often with corp. or workstation version of windows> , now I am using (WITH GREATEST HELP FROM ALL THE SCRIPTS/BYPASS etc etc here) to install/upgrade(s)...<having fun - mostly> ......best discovery = ReFS file systems - & iSCSI interface & "mirror-cast / iRD in "Windows 11 pro for workstation" <my go to version now> thanks again.
Thanks for answering, yeah I tried the Power Shell installing of the store on my 2021 Iot VM and I was amazed at how fast & easy it was.
I'm getting this error whenever I try to install anything from the Store (under Windows 10 LTSC 21H2) PUR-AuthenticationFailure Also, I'm getting error 0xC002001B whenever I try to update the Store components Formatting and reinstalling Windows doesn't solve the problem Seems like Microsoft is banning some computers somehow? Is it possible to avoid the ban??
xinso, I've searched the registry, but none of those settings are configured I'm currently solving this problem by updating the computer to Windows 10 Enterprise. Doing that fixes the store and everything works correctly. I've only had this problem twice (the first time was with a Lenovo laptop, and this second time I've suffered the problem with an HP desktop). Both computers had Windows pre-installed in the factory. I simply format the hard drive and install Windows 10 LTSC on them. I believe that these computers are "marked" somehow in Microsoft's databases, and they are "banned" from running the store in Windows LTSC. I've never seen this problem on computers that I build myself. Only those that come with Windows pre-installed in the factory show this problem. Has anyone experienced the same problem??
Its a bug in the latest update. You have to install out of band KB5015020 or wait for the next update.
Ok, so by reverting to IoT LTSC 19044.1288 I was able to install windows store, and install the 2 apps I wanted before doing any updates. But still after updating to 19044.1706 the store becomes broken and unable to install/update anything. Is it 100% confirmed to be a bug or is there a workaround that I'm missing?
