I added GUI to 17134.1ServerACore and found that InstallationType was replaced with Client, which is one of the four packages. Do you know which one?

Should be Client-Features-Package and Client-Features-WOW64-Package.

Those are for SKU activation only.

 

MS won't let you easily alter Activation Technology files.

Yes. But "install smoothly" does NOT necessarily mean successfully "installed".
