Been away for a while, and you guys started a new thread Have you ever considered naming it 'Windows Edition Reconstruction and Staging'?
If we teach how to extract packages directly from the image, which images by modifying .mum and .cat and knowing which image to reconstruct, we would be happy to learn that.
When you refer to "Staging" do you mean the Unstaged editions? Well, the admins edited the title a bit. I can edit it, but I only have that question
I was thinking of extracting it with SxSv1 but I doubt I'll be able to extract it, since downloading an ISO of 15063.0 would be useless since the starter edition was uploaded to UUP and is currently no longer available. Modifying .mun files doesn't seem to be that complicated, but I have no idea how to modify a .cat file.
I'm not just talking about the starter edition, but all the ones we'll do, learn however, how to make these modifications and extract the .iso of any image we want to make, if someone knows and can teach us we'll be grateful, show us what learning you have, Share, because if you learned, someone taught you, right? Why not continue teaching like you learned, do we need each other in the world, or do you not need others? But if we rectify that, we'll be happy for anyone who knows, and anyone who has already made packages, please share, we're looking to learn from you!
There is an opportunity for learning with gareths request post #62, starting point would be languagepack modification and studying sessions.xml, maybe from 26257.5000 (ge_prerelease), to help build 26280.5000 (ge_prerelease) client.
Why do not you do modify 15063.0_Core-to-Starter_amd64_Activated_Updatable.zip to work on x86 bits? I try now will look if i can succed. If it is working x64 bits should work on x86 too. Also you can find esd files in starter_15063.0_x64.7z post #2
The problem I think is editing them, I don't know if the x64 editing packages written in the mun files are the same in x86. I can edit the 15063.0_Core-to-Starter_amd64_Activated_Updatable.zip file obviously, but I'm not entirely sure it will work, so I have no idea about using .cat files.
Do you suggest renaming the .mun files from "amd64" to "x86"? I can do that and check. I just need to create the starter edition 14393.0 x86, we already have the x64.
No. I made a mistake sorry. I have looked amd64 version. I have to look inside x86 version wow64. Forget what i said.
At least 2 DLLs for sure, they're SHA256 hashes: ehres.dll PA19 compressed: c68415238472ca9603dec45079376eabfdcf77e941ce3d70bde488f6b583630e uncompressed: 899b9a7f247f3a448f4c104b8c50a0a42d3a66f535b16c44b3dccdfc6c2d78c2 ppioobe.dll PA19 compressed: e9366c5a2d72bbea626a09374ebc84750712923dbe8329e04b45cbe894dc77ce uncompressed: d7ad1eaecd574f281c2e2f33f52b554b8936a5dd40562d6b73ba12fb8f73467d So we have the ones with PA19 compression, and we need them uncompressed instead.
