hi everyone, i was serching for a w7 activation crack, and it seems this method works fine.. But i don't understand some points. On my pc i have XP, and i have a w7 disc to install it. When I'll install it, i should choose the offline activation, then enter in the trial period, right? this "Windows 7 Rearm Forever 2.0" patch should restart the trial period.. but how to use it ? do i have to wait till my trial period is going to finish, o i can simply run it immediately after the installation ? are there any instructions to run this patch ? And if i understood, i don't have to restart my pc, right ? sorry for all those questions, but yesterday i decided i was tired of XP i tried to read some post of the forum, but i make some confusion (and sorry for my "italian" english ) Thank you
so i need to restart once to install, and then every 30 days. But after 30 days it restarts automatically or i have to do manually ? and in this period, can i shut down or restart my pc anytime i want? sorry and thanks again
It will rearm automatically every 29 days if your system is running or else you have to rearm manually. Yes, you can shutdown and restart your PC whenever you want. You can also reset your rearm count whenever you want, it need not be after 150 days.
To ensure 29 day task runs regarless of computer being on or off go into Control panel/Administrative tools/Task Scheduler/Active Tasks. Then scroll til you see the Rearm task and double click then in the right panel under Selected Item click properties then in the Rearm Properties window click the settings tab then check the box for "Run task as soon as possible after a scheduled start is missed" and then OK.
and let's think i'm out of home for 1-2 weeks, and i should restart in that period my pc.. can i anticipate the rearm ?
If you have missed your scheduled rearm say by a week and start your PC, you will be in notification mode with grace period expired. In this scenario you will not be able to rearm, so the best way to go about it is to reboot into WinPE or WinRE and run reset.bat.
Doesn't the task scheduler "Run task as soon as possible after a scheduled start is missed" execute a reboot right then hence another 30 days via slmgr /rearm cmd or since in notification that cmd becomes unusable?
You can rearm only till extended grace period. Once you go into notification, the only way out is to install a legit key or run reset.bat.
So then is it useless to do the "Run task as soon as possible after a scheduled start is missed" deal?
Yeah, if that option is checked it does not run the task immediately, it just queues the task and runs it if the system is idle for 10 minutes or so.
Set it to rearm automatically on the 20th or 25th day then. The earlier you set it, the higher the likelihood of your automated process working. Sure you lose more days out of the 150, but that's nothing more than a reset anyway.
The scheduled task would be a problem for people who use the system ocassionally, I for one have the system on for around 25-28 days a month, so there is only a slight chance of missing the scheduled task.
My comp is on 24/7 for ups but for those who don't use their computer much then they should be more vigilant with doing the rearm manually. I mean we're trying to make things as automated as possible but the original Guide instructions are fine if people can just pay attention a little at first when installing and then once a month for 4 months then install again. But people are picky and want the program to do everything but it really can't since you have to go to RE and PE then just rearm once a month. Seems not to much to ask considering they can use 7 forever if MS doesn't whack this...lol And I noticed this 1. Type "Task Scheduler" in the Start menu and open it. 2. Select Task Scheduler Library in the left pane 3. In the Active Tasks window Double Click on the Rearm Task to open Properties window. 4. Select the Settings Tab 5. Check the "Run task as soon as possible if the scheduled start is missed" 6. Click on OK and close Task Scheduler. should be this 1. Type "Task Scheduler" in the Start menu and open it. 2. Select Task Scheduler Library in the left pane 3. In the Active Tasks window Double Click on the Rearm Task then at the right panel under Selected Item click properties then in the Rearm Properties window 4. Then click Select the Settings Tab 5. Check the "Run task as soon as possible if the scheduled start is missed" 6. Click on OK and close Task Scheduler. @ PoisonWolf Thats a great idea but time is relative to how often people actually rearm since this is a forever deal anyhow so if they go over 30 days then their out of luck and should just do what MasterDisaster said and install again and do the PE, RE and start over from scratch...lol
These are my instructions 1. Type "Task Scheduler" in the Start menu and open it. 2. Select Task Scheduler Library in the left pane 3. Double Click on the Rearm Task to open Properties window. 4. Select the Settings Tab 5. Check the "Run task as soon as possible if the scheduled start is missed" 6. Click on OK and close Task Scheduler.
And if this topic gets stickied and more attention is given to it, the chance of it getting whacked out of "educational purposes" will be faster.
