Im not sure but what i think is ms mostly use network with those Winsock ipv6 protocols to sent info to their servers or its could be its more manageable to put the right rules when its only ipv4 involve i did few tests when those protocols are exist and system is booting welcome screen take more times to process and opening tcpview at start seeing system process and more running and connection sent... its reduce noticeably traffic when idle and also i try to find a way so OS wont have too much rules and scripts to avoid performance decrease
my tcpview even with those v6 things enabled only has svchost things that only link to either my pc name, router and * (just a star) so im guessing thats good?
Yes when I start up my pc and its on idle I dont see anything connecting to the internet, tcpview only shows svchost(quite a lot) but none link to the internet, only local
Still needed for Win10 too: social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/windows/en-US/cac1a5a1-4bed-47e9-b563-441eeb49a555/explorerexe-permanent-tcp-connection-to-wnswindowscom
I have connection to db3wns2011137.wns.windows.com (before disabling), even with Local Account and OneDrive was never activated. Probably because you already disable OneDrive before.
I have a question, my windows 10 home doesn't have those options in autobus as Op shows to disable. Does it means my windows doesn't spy?
pls try this unplug the network connection shutdown the pc and turn it up run the tcpview and then plug it back to network
huh why? if i dont have anything besides svchost on tcpview(which only does lan stuff) that means i disabled all the ms crap, right?
Iphlpsvc provides tunnel connectivity using ipv6 if stopped windows won't be able to use ipv6 and you will rely on ipv4 not sure why Op want to disable this service Tcpip6 is also responsible for ipv6 you disable it you won't be able to use modern ipv6 and your Windows will rely on ipv4
its mostly usable for OS / IE ..... Firefox works ok without it edit also make it easier to block it via firewall
