I agree with Stewax. I reming Paul that even German prime minister was spied bye NSA. So we never under estimate this espionage matter. I believe that almost every average minded people aware of this but they are not really aware how these things are carried out. So the rest of the world should take care of their data security and privacy. If MS wants to collect information regarding their operating system they can do this in their homeland country, not in the whole world. There are millions of users there in US A, it is enough for it. If we return to subject , pls kindly inform that whether the first post of this thread is updated according to latest findings and information. It is really difficult to read all the pages in the threads. For protection , could we also put some firewall rules for outbound connections for some ips or ip range related with this telemetry connections?
Ver 3.4 fix - problem removing win defender with lastest build in build 271 defender removed just fine
Sorry for the noob question, but the following: means I can use this script on an already installed W10, correct? Or will I need to format and reinstall W10 to take advantage of its telemetry disabling functions? Thanks.
This looks pretty promising. I will definitely give it a shot. Similar to the way NoScript works. Auto block it all then allow what you want. I think that's the best way to go about it. Thank you so much. I was recommended 'spybot-anti-beacon' (Can't post URLS yet). But I have doubts on it's effectiveness.
Yes thats is true, does the magic but the system still writing info to disk or cycles and might effect the performance so i use this, services disabling cos don't need metro and removing packages shutdown takes 2 secs in server tp 5 due firewall and services but services too extreme
Its incredible how much privacy has been thrown out the door in the computer world. People once used sniffer tools & decompiled software to verify their privacy, but today? People just blindly mash 'accept' as the Facebook app asks permission to their soul. I blame Facebook mostly for this. Before Facebook, it was common sense to never use your real name online. Now? People are saying using your real info should be mandatory, and anyone who offends you should be reported? Its conditioned millions of people to just blindly upload every detail of their life. Who the f**k cares if the NSA/govt is spying on you illegally, when you give permission to every ad company on the planet to data mine everything about you? s**t, at this rate the NSA probably just buys bulk data straight from companies. Why develop a backdoor when people open the front wide open? If you were to sit android or windows down in front of someone from 1990s, they'd quarentine it as spyware. Remember how Google became popular? it was the clean ad-free alternative to the bloated yahoo/crawlers. They championed privacy. They pushed to block 3rd party trackers, pixel-image tracking, etc. Then one day they bought doubleclick (which was once on every hosts-file blocker available). Then they BECAME doubleclick. Now Google chaises off ad blocking software from its appstore, and deliberately allows 3rd party cookie tracking. Half of YouTube uploaders calling ad blockers 'thieves' who are 'stealing from content creators'... They've turned regular users into 1984 riaa-like gestapo. Some assholes even tried to trademark 'reaction' videos, because goatse and tubgirl are apparently their idea now? 1984 is right here. You bought a tv that can change channels with your voice? Your Samsung telescreen's webcam & microphone are monitored for wrongthink as it crosses country lines, 'cos terrorism. Your actions and mood are analyzed for any potential market value. I mean, we literally even have a soylent green company, selling a product named soylent green. We're f**ked.
I did restart! but as i have dual boot, the first time it went directly to linux by mistake and inattention, i restarted several times after that and still doesn't work.
I did run s1ave77 SMRT Enable Disable tool [W], [A], [D], [P], -> [T], options, before your script. Code: #Update history Update for Micrsoft Windows (KB3142588) Microsoft Windows MS Corp 4/27/2016 Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB3140768) Microsoft Windows MS Corp 4/27/2016 Update for Microsoft Windows (KB3139907) Microsoft Windows MS Corp 4/27/2016 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player (KB3144756) Microsoft Windows MS Corp 4/27/2016 version 10.0.10586 professional It was a clean install. Didn't tweak by myself other than those scripts.
