Hi, I have office 2010 beta (no leaked build, the one you can download from ms), yesterday I uninstalled visual basic express 2008 sp1 and installed visual studio 2008 pro + sp1. Now windows update shows 3 visual studio updates but also 10 office 2007 updates including office sp1. I never had office 2007 installed after I did a clean install. Does someone now if those opdates are needed for vs or is it just an error?
I wouldn't update the SP's, especially SP2 - when I did, it rendered my 2007 inoperable and I had to reinstall the whole program... That's just what happened to me though, it might have been due to a thousand different variables, it may be different for you.
