I've installed W7 on many machines so I know the in's and out's of BIOS I've even had to use jumper wire to clear BIOS password when locked out of BIOS But even though I set the priority to USB HDD it will not boot to USB with W7 on it I do not understand why? When I plug the USB while in Unbuntu it see's it and all the W7 install files but at boot won't detect it The USB light flasshes on the USB stick at boot but again does not boot from it I also have a gateway I'm working on that also not boot to USB Usually I get past these things and google answers but i couldn't do it so I posted for help
Was USB stick. Other USB booted right up and with F12 key was recognized Thank you guys for your assistance
i had same problem with same brand.. different years sandisk cruzer 8gb and some older 2004 desktop. the older 8gb cruzer worked while newer did not. lucky i had my laptop and was able to rebuild usb that worked. this usb never gave me problems in other pcs either.. weird i suspect its the way the USB is identified as USB Floppy or USB Mass Storage by bios/USB STICK firmware bug
