I don't think anyone in their right mind would use the Windows 8 Developer Preview Build as their primary Windows operating system, it just wouldn't make sense as there are possble security issues at least to worry about. I tested it on VirtualBox for a couple of days before I dual booted it along side Windows 7, I have been learning Windows 8 and doing a few guides to post on my forum to give other people who haven't tried it a preview of Windows 8. If anyone hasn't tried it yet I do recommend sticking on as a dual boot or on a spare PC you may have kicking around, it would be worth your while as on a whole it is a very.... lets say adaptable operating system and enjoyable, even though you won't benefit from all the fantastic features it has.
I liked 7955 but since i cannot enjoy to all the features on it, I don't keep it..installed...now i keep WDP as default O.S
Sorry about that, I meant IE10 If the program compatibility with build 7955 was better, i'd use that over the dpv and win7
i just replaced windows 7 and my ssd with 8DP on a WD VelociRaptor hard drive, freaking awesome, dammmmmmmmmmmmmm
tested 8DP and it sux big hairy sweaty balls. stupid design by M$, their days of being on top are over if this is how it's going to be from now on... might be worthwhile if it was for a phone, might being the key word.
No but it's for Tablets also and i find it to be a nice upgrade.. Minus the MetroUI but that's not finished yet
I recently reverted back to 7, couldn't deal with the damn start screen. It was taking me 3x longer to do simple tasks, and I found myself conciously trying to AVOID clicking the start button.
You could just disable the MetroUI via a registry tweak without having to reinstall Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer] "RPEnabled"=dword:0
I know, but at that point all I have is windows 7 feature wise, and 8 wasn't recognizing the function keys on my keyboard so i said screw it and went back to 7.
