HD Graphics allocated memory v ram

    Hi,

    what is better for overall system performance leaving the default allocated memory as 64m or increasing it to 1024m. system board has a total of 8mb installed

    I assume you mean its has a overall 8GB of ram so honestly I think you can spare that 1024MB (1GB) of shared video ram. That is what I have done, allocated the maximum. To bad I cannot tell it to use more for I have 16GB of ram. :/

    I guess it would depend on what you want, as you ask "system performance" I would leave default or lower it, but if you want more "video performance", then you would increase the ram usage to the video. If video is fine, I would leave default.

    aero minimum is 64 mb. id use at least 128mb
