Hello, I was updating my Windows 7 via Windows update, there was many updates. It took long time, at the end of update, I saw a blue screen. Then my laptop stopped working, I can't boot.. I tested my laptop with a new HDD it works perfectly. I installed my old HDD in a desktop PC to recover data, but it doesn't allow me to enter Driver E: (partition 1: Windows 7), Driver F: works OK. See image 1, The HDD is Disk 1 289.09GB Disk 1: Drive E: doesn't work. Disk 1: Driver F: works OK. See image 2, Local disk E: doesn't have any value. I can't click it, I can't click on properties. Please help!
Partition E is RAW format, you need a Data recovery program to recover your data, save it to another drive or partition, and then delete that RAW partition (E drive) and create a new primary partition again then format Windows can not read RAW - Data recovery can
i use findandmount in these cases with great success. but others work too like partition recovery wizard ( in hirensbootcd.org )
What I did: - Installed testdisk 6.14 Windows version. - Copied important files in the HDD - Deleted all partitions - Re-created one partition - Full formatted HDD Thanks everyone!
Sorry missed your reply about the recovery program, please you got it fixed I like EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard
