    Or simple go to Service in the Windows Computer Management and go to and scroll down to "Windows Updates" normally set "Manual" or Automatic.. Click to stop that Windows Updates services, then change to Startup type to "Disable".. then click "Apply", then Click OK.. this easy way to SHUT it up..

    I completely disable wu using gp registery keys
    And use wumt to download updates
    Keep service up, just disable search option and notification

    I don't need to.
    Only Update with wumt, when I have spare time.
    And after that WUMT ask for reboot, do reboot.
    Done.
