HELP!!! Dell white password authorization screen!!

    hello everyone!
    this dreaded white screen popped up! can anyone help???

    my service tag is 5SK30K1-595B

    and im unable to see what i type on this screen!

    What model of Dell is it? Do you get the white screen all the time? (Is the screen normal at any point?)

    Inspiron 1545 and yes it's white all the time and no it's never normal... It says I need a code/password

    Okay, this looks like a four or five year old laptop. Are you the original owner or is this just "new" to you? If used, better hope you can contact the last owner for the password.

    So have you forgotten the password? If there never was a password and this prompt is recent, that sounds bad to me. Read through the MDL bios recovery threads to see if something there can help you.
