I'm seeking to install Windows 10 Enterprise on multiple daily driver machines, preferably the latest version which I believe is 1909. I have checked the thread created for 1909 and the multiple ways of procuring/creating the ISO are confusing. What is the difference between an ISO obtained from tb.rg-adguard.net and the other options (UUP, ESD, MCT, SVF/SFX, LP+FOD)? What would be the most reliable? Does the multiple download options affect how Windows 10 is activated? Is the permanent way to activate still only with HWID?
Thank you for the prompt response, So the only way to get Enterprise is through a UUP dump? What would be the most permanent that doesn't require maintenance such as installing KMS (which to my knowledge schedules activation every few months)? Is it HWID? Wouldn't the keys found here be revoked at some point?
Updated the ESD>ISO Tutorial: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-10-esd-repository.59082/page-77#post-1380516
Thank you for the continuous follow up, I have downloaded "...CLIENTBUSINESS_VOL_x64FRE_en-us.esd" from the list of ESDs but I was wondering: What the "FRE" stands for? As I confused it to mean "French", but I'm assuming it means something else. I noticed that this is downloaded over "http" only and not "https", is there a way to verify the downloaded file? (Checksums, MD5, SHA)? Edit: 3. Is this the latest build? 20H1 or is there not much of a difference?
I understand that 19041.1 or 20H1 is still in preview phase so I will not consider this now for daily drivers. Is there any trusted post with the checksums? I'd prefer to be sure I downloaded an original and I prefer to verify authenticity on my OS. Or are checksums available for other download options such as SFX/SFV?
These are extracted from MVS website: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/mvs-dump.78070/ But insider builds, not released on ISO by MSFT, can't be verified, the downloaded UUP files can, separately. If it's not genuine msft, it's not allowed on MDL.
I was unclear on how to use the MVS dump. Will I need to download the files from UUP, extract and then verify their checksums individually? That seems like a long tedious process. Also another process that will probably require another tutorial. The issue is MDL are unable to verify the ESDs due to unavailability of the checksums. Perhaps a collective of verified users can download the ESDs and create a checksum list based on comparision with each other, at least it might be 1% better than "no checksums at all for ESD" Also downloading over http is unsecure and it has a security risk of intercepted traffic. I guess I'll try downloading the same file from different locations, different machines and verifying its the same checksums
