Hey all, I have been using the offline Insider Program and was wondering how to get the the stable release builds. I have ran OfflineInsiderEnroll.cmd and selected the beta channel. I'm currently on Windows 11 Insider Preview 22471.1000 and after the restart it doesn't seem to pick up any further updates. Just wondering if I am missing a step here? Thanks for the help.
22471.1000 is the latest and current DEV channel build, what updates are you expecting? To go back to the 1904x.xxx or 22000.xxx builds you will need to do a clean install.
Sorry I should have explained better. I wanted to go from receiving DEV builds to the official release. I used the same offline tool to go beta, but it didn't seem to make any difference.
This has been posted quite a few times, you can't switch from the dev channel to any other channel, clean install is needed to go to another channel build.
you can go release preview. its one step ahead of official channel. go with that one. official also gives option to download and install preview updates anyway...
From dev to release preview, what will that accomplish? Technically you can switch but that doesn't result in any other build.
Forgive my ignorance, and if this has been answered 100 times. If I'm currently on Dev and stop receiving the Insider Preview builds. Will I receive the next Official Channel build that's higher than 22471.1000?
He won't get anything, he needs to reinstall the non dev build to go to 1904x or 22000 or any other still supported release.
You can go only forward in builds, never back. If you are on 22471.1000, you're already ahead of the production builds. A fresh install is required, at which you can join the RP/BETA channels (or not, for only receiving production-ready stuff). Remember when MS said "leave dev channel now"? They weren't joking, with same builds in dev vs. beta channels, that's the only time you can switch away from dev.
No ya have to fresh install ya cant downgrade from a higher build number to a lower 1 unless it was installed before putting the higher build on because your not actually upgrading anything at all
hostrefresh is a feature of ntlite software that lets u fix any problems caused by broken system files, add/remove components and features, edit settings, or upgrade downgrade your installed windows. imagine editing iso via ntlite, hostrefresh makes it on installed windows. it may be paid feature idk
After such an exit from beta on 10/05 I now have 2000.194 where windows update "interrupt update" shows the rolldown "suspend" box gives the choice between 1,2,34,5 weeks... does this mean that updates are suspended by force ? thank you
