    Hi all,

my fault: I broke down the windows 7 (Entreprise) sound sytem.
It was done by removing a "free" soft to capture sound. It was full of xxxware and a pain to remove, and I did too much.

    The facts:

    - All devices in the "Audio & video controlers" (my release is not in english so I try to translate) are marked. A "(!)".

    - Even if I try to reinstall the sound driver (Realtek) it fails

    - Many tests and checks have been done: "chkdsk / f", SFC /scannow", ...
The SSD is said to be in fine shape and the NTFS structure said to be sane.

Do you have any idea of how I could get the sound fixed, as I can't go to a restore point, and have programs installed so I can't reinstall/upgrade to Win10 without losing them ?

    Thank you for reading this.

Try running a registry fixer as a last resort, but if you have no restore points, and no clue how to fix it, I'd run an upgrade of the same OS over the top

    Thank you for the advice.

Which registry fixer would you use ? There are so many of them and some are better.

Try removing devices one by one in Device Manager deleting the driver also when prompted.

Let the system detect again the devices and install the drivers.

Hi, did you try MrMagic of system restore. That would be the nice thing to attmpt first and if it does not,the other trys of removing sound drivers and let it try to install again.

CCleaner is as good as any, although I don't recommend using them for anything other than a last resort

This should do, I'm very grateful.
