Help! Inspiron 1720 BIOS Patching

    Hello guys,
    I am new in this forum and have some questions.
    I have an Inspiron 1720 and want to patch the BIOS. I've downloaded the BIOS A04 (12.25.2007) already, but it is an .exe file instead of bin or rom.
    I am also not able to unpack it, so how its possible to apply this patch?

    why would you want to patch it? The dell bios already have SLP1.0 and SLP2.0

    Ok thanks :)
    So that means, that i can install Vista Ultimate with an OEM key and i would be able to update etc. ?
