I think is was just a flash gone wrong. If could manage to re-flash it I think it would work. But I can't manage to load the USB Floppy.
errrr. I suggest you use a USB Stick instead, have you ever tried it, the method 1? and have you jumped the Boot-Block when you are flashing your BIOS? if not, your laptop won't boot to usb-floppy, so that you have to send your laptop to the manufacturer
@OP Like brightpisces said, the USB Stick might be better. I flash most of my BIOs Can you clarify about jumping boot block? WHen I flash in DOS, it just goes...unless that happens automatically.
My laptop does not have a parallel port. So I cannot jump the boot block. I tried the USB Stick. It flashes, but then nothing happens. Any other suggestions? Do you need a specific USB Floppy Drive?
No you just need bootable usb i was gonna point you to BIOS Recovery procedures thread but i noticed you have allready been there
Re-flashed my laptop using Phoenix BIOS recovery and USB floppy. Found the program on a different forum. Not messing with this again.
Hi Sonu27, Much appreciated if you could post the link to the forum you gotten your Phoenix BIOS recovery program? It would help those in the same situation as you! TIA.
Yeah please bro do!! i am in ur situation as well! same thing!! it lights up the floppy usb but does nothing afterwards !! i need help!
sonu27: if the recovery methods described here and in the other threads do not help, you can do the last resort: have it flashed I had fully bricked my 5652 (didn't even power on) by flashing so I removed the mainboard and sent it in to a company called bios-fix.de. They charged about 45€ to desolder the TSOP, flash it, and resolder. Note that I'm not affiliated with them, I only recommend them because they successfully recovered my 5652. I'm sure there are other companies out there although not many of them can do the onboard TSOP chips.
