Help pls! i really want to download sp2 so i can connect xbox

    my friend set my pc up for me ages ago on xp pro
    i want to download xp sp2, but keep gettin a message saying that it cant be downloaded as it can only be put on Build 6200. Anyone know what i can do?

    What version/SP of XP are you presently running? Open My Computer or Explorer and click on HELP>ABOUT WINDOWS. You should see "Version 5.1 . . ." followed by a parenthetical statement of the version details; what is reported? (There is no version 6200 so for openers I am assuming you simply transposed your 2600 to 6200.)
