    Hi Guys,

In a bit of a "pickle"

I have just flashed a Fujitsu Lifebook E8420 Laptop with a BIOS I modded myself & have "screwed" my Wife's Laptop....

She is none too pleased with me as you may gather, I need your assistance in trying to restore, if I can the machine to a Working Laptop again!!!!! Before I end up being sent to the Dog House, the Dog will not be too pleased as well.....

    Can anyone assist?

I have looked on the first page of this thread & most of the files mentioned are not available...

Thanks to anyone who can help me!!!!!

Does NE1 Know what combination of keys are required for a "forced BIOS" Update on Fujitsu LifeBook? Really struggling here & getting major grief from the missus....

    Someone could prevent a Divorce!!!!!

I have FSC XA 3530 and my crisis recovery keys are FN-ESC when power-on and a usb-stick with the crisis recovery disk in usb port. You need an original crisis recovery disk to recover. Also when you power-on with the keys pressed you will see the usb disk blinking. It took about 10-20 min to recover and the bios reboot itself. Do not reboot your box on your own. I would recommend to wait until the recovery is full and the bios reboot itself. Good Luck!

Sorry, But I don't understand. Run What File? The download link that you so kindly provided, only contained 1 exe file, FlashAid.exe, when I tried running that it said that I had to use another method as that was not supported, so a little bit confused....??

    TIA

No. The laptop comes with a paper written thats it's a great product. I know about crisis recovery from this forum. Personally I use wincrisis for usb sticks. There is also crisis for floppy.

the other version bios i didnt upload.

hmm i just noticed i might have grabbed wrong model 8420 not 8240.. that i cant find a page for.

i think Yen is the best candidate as pc seems to be from asian market. i cant read the pages.. or find them (bios download page ?)
he is also good at cutting platform data to make .bin for a SPI programmer.

    try a different version.

    try adding the second file.

nvidia gfx raises red warnings.. chipset issue with no video.. not bios.
