Okay I am new at this..... I have 2 ram slots both are maxed out with a 256mb pc133 stick in themm.... I went out and got a pc133 512mb stick not realizing that my motherboard only had a 512mb capacity max.... I was wondering is there a bios update or something i can do in order to install more ram? BIOS TYPE: Pheonix BIOS DATE: DEC, 1st 2001 BIOS ID: PhoenixBIOS 4.0 Release 6.0-None BIOS OEM:JJ.01.00US Can anyone Help??? -Chris
You need to post your motherboard name Use Everest and create a report, it will help you find the right bios
Doubtfull there would be a BIOS update to solve this. Maximum memory is usually a limitation of the chipset used.
