Uninstall any LPs that you do not use, by using lpksetup Code: 2014-03-05 13:29:37, Info CBS Exec: Session processing started. Client: DISM Package Manager Provider, Session(Store Corruption Detect/Repair): 30357576_3672571893 2014-03-05 13:29:37, Info CBS Reboot mark set Did you reboot after repairing the component store? You did not try to install the update after checking component store readiness. The logs end at 13:47. Also you tried to do the repair at 13:04 but canceled it. Read the end of my previous post, and try to install the update. P.S.: Do not PMbomb me, otherwise I'll have to disable private messaging: as I'm not a techsupport service I eventually read the threads on forum.
Many thanks for the reply! I don't have LPs installed. Also, DISM component repairing failed (/Restorehealth), that's why I did not reboot. Shall I try again /restorehealth, reboot and update? P.S: Sorry for sending you P.M. I didn't mean to bomb you with that!
I see several very rare errors in cbs.log one is connection related, one is wmi related, and another rpc related do you use External security or firewall program? if there is C:\windows\cbstemp folder, delete it and run sfc /scannow, then try dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and as last resort, consider reset or clean install, and this time install KB2904440 first
I was using Bitdefender Total Security 2014 and uninstalled before doing the steps suggested by arseny92 as BDTS was preventing me from deleting Windows update log and restarted afterwards.. Tried component store repair after that only
Thank you all for your kind help and time! I gave up; formatted my lappy, installed Windows 8.1 RTM and installed 17031 build leaks afterwards, it just works fine.
