hi, I'm a true novice, it's taken me 20 minutes just to work out how to post a question on this forum! and I've no idea if I'm even posting in the correct section!!!! anyway, I have a [h=1]Compaq Mini 110c-1030SS Pc laptop[/h] and I'm really struggling! Apparently the 'line in' and 'line out' are the same jack hole. what I'm trying to do is connect my lappy to my mixer so I can record a set but there appears to be no signal coming to my lappy and no apparent way for me to change any settings in the sounds device manager! please can someone talk me through where I am going wrong? this is so frustrating as I want to get on and have a mix!
