Hello, I downloaded Win7 Ultimate x64 and ran the eicfg tool and the box says it was removed. I go to install but there are no other options to choose from just Ultimate x64? I only have a key for Home Prem. Any help? Thanks

You may need to create a new ei.cfg file and place in Sources folder. Check the stickies for How To......!

Check whether it´s really removed from the sources folder from your ISO.

Doing this always manually with UltraISO, so i can assure it´s working. Win 7 ISO should show all editions from Home Basic to Ultimate w/o EI.CFG.

I have had this problem, Try running the ei.cfg removal tool as administrator. - If you can open the ISO then look in the sources folder for ei.cfg to check whether or not it is still there.

This is weird. I have Win7 ultimate SP1 refresh downloaded from here at MDL. On that ISO is the ei.cfg file, and I have never removed it nor anything else. I have used RT lite to integrate updates and make a new ISO. But now when I check the new ISO with updates on it the ei.cfg file is not there???

Now if and when this ei.cfg file is removed you are suppose to get the options of what system you want to install (as I understand it). But for me I get just the ultimate system like the OP. Now that's OK for me because that is all I want, but why if the ei.cfg file is not there do I not see the option on what system you want to install:confused::confused:

Sounds like other indices got removed from ISO by RT Lite.

You can check the WIM with:

    Code:
    DISM /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:J:\sources\install.wim
    Code:
    C:\Windows\System32>DISM /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:J:\sources\install.wim

Tool zur Imageverwaltung für die Bereitstellung

RTLite will only build install.wim with 1 index of your choice Windows 7 ULTIMATE.

You need to run the tool as administrator, or get an editor like UltraISO, open the iso, delete the .cfg and save it as a new .iso
