Help with modding HP Microserver BIOS please

    Hi,

    I am trying to add SLIC 2.1 to the latest HP Microserver BIOS (O41040211.ROM)

    I have tried using AMITOOL 1.61 when opening bios I get a dialog saying BIOS already contains SLIC 2.1 (SLIC Toolkit V3.2 says no SLIC). If I continue and do the mod AMITOOL fails with bootblock checksum error.

    So I tried to enable the SLIC AMITOOL says is there using various versions on DMI tools but all gave not supported type errors.

    Can anyone give me some ideas as to what else to try?

    Hi again,

    Thanks for the link. Flashed BIOS in link and SLIC Toolkit now shows SLIC 2.1

    The linked post says

    Modded with AMI SLIC Mod 1.61
    Mod method: Dynamic custom + SSv2 custom

    When I open BIOS I only have dynamic, SSV2 and SSV3 are both greyed out.

    I am trying to understand this rather than just use an already modded BIOS (although thats very welcome). So any info appreciated.
