Very careful, or you can BLINK your notebook very easily !

    Checking the files I got:

    First file name: C:\v1.35\CLB-135.ROM
    Second file name: C:\v1.35\CLB-135.WPH
    0 : 6240 Byte(s) diff
    1048576 Byte(s) match
    1048576 : 1054816 Byte(s) total

So both files are 100% equal, the only diff on .WPH is it includes informations about Flash EEPROMs on it, and .ROM doesn't.

The SLIC start on 0x7FB03 offset, and ends on 0x7FC78.

You'll need to search for checksum and change it if necessary.

As I wrote, phflash16 does not flash the *.rom files. So I have to mod the wph file which is a bit bigger then rom file and doesn not work with phoenix editor.

How can I mod this *.wph file? How to use winhex or another tool?

Well, if so, is pretty damn odd, and, Acer include a file (.ROM) if none of included tool use it ?!

You can edit .WPH directly, but will need to change the checksum as well, this is why the flasher is refusing the modded file.

Search on forum how to change the checksum.
