after doing what you recommended I get the following message: no bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key
you were unable to enter recovery partition by pressing f11, correct? if you are sure then you have 2 options 1) purchase recovery disks... which IMHO offers you nothing good 2) initialize HD from desktop and format 3) download W7 ISO 4) USE SLIC2.1 tool from yesterday .. Identify cert 5) install W7 and install cert and key Forget about the recovery partition and move on to your bloat free install
whats IMHO? when i try to initilize hd it gave that other message I have a copy of w7 and I remember how to installed and use slic tool (some what)
Has the ISO been hash checked for integrity of image? if not download one of the tools in step 2 from link above and post MD5 Just for information the ISO from the link posted above is untouched MSDN and if you follow step 3 you will be able to install any version of W7 you want..
Having read all the posts, and responded to a few, IMHO it's time to wipe the drive and start from scratch. You do that by downloading the .iso of your choice from a link found on this forum, burning that .iso to DVD to create an installation disk and then installing Windows 7 afresh. You can likely use your original OEM key, if you have one, or you can follow redroad's instructions concerning Windows activation. But with the mess you have I'd never give it a second thought ... wipe and reinstall.
on boot press esc enter BIOS menu and make sure you choose USB flash as first boot as Phasedoubt suggests
