But I just wanted to post my success in using this undated BIOS!!!
it is the SLIC v2.3 that did the trick!
my humble D420 is now activated with win7proSP1(32bit) where-as an hour earlier,... it was not.
it is sad how M$ would falsely accuse a Dell PC user of theft where their SLIC version less than 2.1
