[Solved] Hibernation / Hybrid Boot not working Hi, Sorry if this has been mentioned before. I have a Toshiba NB500 netbook, installed Windows 8 Pro without any apps, and all drivers built-in. But if i shut down with hybrid boot on, when i turn the netbook back on, it reaches the flag booting stage and just turns off without warning. Then i can turn it back on just fine. Same happens when i hibernate and when i turn it back on everything is gone so it's not working. I have upgraded the memory recently from 1GB to 2GB, everything else is stock. Also upgraded the bios to latest version from August 2012. Any help is apreciated. Thanks in advanced
I'm invoking shutdown. Sleep works just fine. And this is already a fresh install The following sleep states are available in your system: Standby (S3) Hibernate Hybrid Sleep Fast Startup Done that, no dice. When i hibernate or shutdown (when Fast Startup is enabled) it won't boot the first try (it turns off when the blue flag appears) and ends up doing a cold boot instead =/
Try this: Shutdown Windows 8 Remove Battery Wait a minute or so Put Battery Back Boot Up If all works properly Shutdown Windows 8 again Boot Up and see if still working properly
Ohhh that same happened to me then i turn it off i think that is because i have ata hard drive. it won't boot the first try (it turns off when the blue flag appears) same that happened to me.
Still not working Bought it last year and checked it's definatly SATA Just ran chkdsk and it stops at 27% so maybe the hd is faulty. Guess i'll have to send it to warranty
Try this: Turn off the Fast Startup->Save Settings Restart Torn On the Fast Startup->Save Settings Restart Try shutdown and see what happens. I experienced the same problem and I solved by this tutorial.
