I installed a new key and it's still hidden... So to answer SoLoR's question: My guess is because it makes -ALL- keys unrecoverable, which could be an issue for an end user.
ok how to revert this s**t go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion and delete: DigitalProductId DigitalProductId4 then readd product key with slmgr and you are done product key is visable again...
Try this one.. Can anyone confirm using this tool as a test.. I'm sure it will fail too.. Just out of curiosity..
U mean slic dump tool ? if that's the one u r talkin abt, then i know.. i thot, maybe i can find the key somewhr in registry editor.. my bad

No Way Out of this Curse!! (At least for now) Dudes, let's put it plain and simple.. this command deletes, and not hides, the key from registry.. For this reason, it would be impossible to retrieve it.. It's simply erased with no trace.. only the partial key remains as a hardcover in license properties.. It's taken as a security measure, it has to be a tough one..
