Could you re-read the previous post? I edited it to make it more clear. Why, when it's supposed to be empty (I guess)? I only want "Tasks" to appear, not "Most visited" and "Recently closed" as well. Also, like I said, I did clean Windows 11 installs using untouched images and created different folders and I still have this issue. Others users are complaining about not having these 2 items ("New window" and "New incognito window"). What is the Windows setting related to Chrome's jump list?
I don't know of any special settings there. And if the same problem occurs to others, there is probably a system-related problem. I don't have the new Windows 11 versions on hand at the moment, can't check, but you're the only one from whom I'm hearing about this problem so far. So I can't help you any more and any way.
In that case, then why doesn't it show the recently used and recently closed sites in Chrome when that setting is enabled and why does Edge show them when that setting is disabled?
I have already told you many times that this is a problem with your system, Chrome and settings/options, neither I nor anyone else can know or find it, only You personally can know that all. Reset Chrome, remove all add-ons and extensions, clean registry, restart and it should work. We don't know what you have there and what you have changed, only You know that.
I already did all of that and I have this issue even before changing any Windows setting or installing a program so how can I find out what causes it?
I'm also using window 11 but I'm unable to recover mine jump list. Can anyone guide me how can I recover it.
It's true, I have Windows 10 here, but are you talking about such a thing and if so, please tell me what's missing in your case and also how you put this icon on the taskbar? Did You used "Pin to taskbar" or something else? And also tell if at the same time this icon is also in the folder Code: %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs PS. And I mistakenly put Edge here at first, but Chrome is exactly the same, if You told about Chrome.
